A complex platform migration for an established life sciences organization, rebuilding newsletter consent data inside Data Cloud’s Contact Point Consent framework.
The client had run marketing automation on Oracle Eloqua for years and needed to move onto Salesforce Marketing Cloud Advanced to unify with the rest of their Salesforce ecosystem — without breaking existing subscriber consent records in the process.
Rosedale led the technical migration with a particular focus on consent data integrity, since a mishandled migration risked either over-suppressing legitimate subscribers or emailing people who had opted out.
Consent data in Eloqua wasn’t structured in a way that mapped cleanly onto Data Cloud’s consent model, and the client couldn’t afford ambiguity — sending to someone who’d opted out, or losing legitimate contacts, both carried real compliance and reputational risk.
A long-format consent ingestion model that captured every historical consent event as its own record inside Data Cloud’s Contact Point Consent object, giving the client a fully auditable consent trail post-migration.
We used to rely on referrals and cold calls — now we have an inbound pipeline that runs 24/7.
